How low can it go?

– Wiccapundit

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 22% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.

Teh Prez was elected with 52% of the vote.  Presumably, the 22% in this poll are all numbered among those who voted for him.  Do the math; he has lost the support of more than half of those who swooningly pulled the lever for him.

And it’s not just Obama.  A poll published in the Washington Times indicates:

A majority of Americans say the United States is less respected in the world than it was two years ago and think President Obama and other Democrats fall short of Republicans on the issue of national security, a new poll finds.

The Democracy Corps-Third Way survey released Monday finds that by a 10-point margin — 51 percent to 41 percent — Americans think the standing of the U.S. dropped during the first 13 months of Mr. Obama’s presidency.

Who is Democracy Corps-Third Way? Why, “the leading moderate think-tank of the progressive movement” according to its own billing.  Conservative – NOT.  (Washington Times link courtesy of LC Aggie Sith at Hookers & Booze.)

I thought The World was gonna like, respect us after Obama got elected.  Meh, not so much.

Man, is that chicken taking a beating.

  1. My neighbors who voted for him are keeping mum about it now. Why? Because, as one of them said, “this is not the change we expected.” I told him it was exactly what I had predicted to him back in October of ’08. He said he was unaware of Obama’s “friends and ties” and of his socialistic views. I told him that he was an idiot for taking the word of the MSM, and not doing some research. He agreed. I’m glad I can be charming while lowering the hammer 😉

Man, is that chicken taking a beating.

Funny, I was talking to a friend yesterday, who voted for BO. He’s a suffering business owner, and is grumbling about how he voted for Obama because he thought he was a centrist, but ZOMG…he’s a socialist. I had tried to warn him during the election, but he was stoned on unicorn farts and wouldn’t listen. Sadly, it isn’t all that satisfying to have to say “I told you so, Sucka.”

Interesting experiment: keep an eye out for Obama bumper stickers. A year ago they were everywhere. Now, not many to be seen. And someone stole the Bush/Cheney bumper sticker off of Elphaba’s car! For real! I’d like to think that maybe whoever took it did so to put it on their car OVER the Obama sticker. Heh.

Someone (Glenn Reynolds, I think) refers to what is happening as a “preference cascade.” And because nobody likes to admit that they were stupid to vote for him, they’ll say that they were “fooled” and “misled.” That means the fall will be farther and faster than otherwise would have occurred.

      None too soon.

Hey, re my post–be careful what you say about that chicken. Sunstein still has a job.

An LOL Obama, and it would be really funny…if it wasn’t so *bloody* sad! James S. says I’m a moderate Democrat(someone explainy that one to me? I would have thought that was an incompatable set of words) and *I* didn’t vote for the man. Quite frankly about the only thing that man is likely to be remembered for is being the first black president and that’s a pretty sad legacy, especially when it’s being overshadowed by all the tremendiously *stupid* crap he’s doing. Getting pictures of yourself turned into LOLs isn’t something to be proud of. Maybe someone should point that out to him.

There used to be that rara avis called the “conservative democrat.” I think they may be extinct now, along with the Passenger Pigeon.

Once there were democrats like Richard Russell or Scoop Jackson or Sam Nunn, who at least got it with respect to national security.

The LOL pic just suggested itself. Imagine having to look into a microscope to find a favorable rating of your performance.

I would say that Obama is the embodiment of the Peter Principle, but that would be an insult to all the unqualified people who have risen to the level of their incompetence.

“The leading moderate think-tank of the progressive movement”. Moderate-progressive? A little Oxymoronic , isn’t it.

  5. Wiccapundit says:

Moronic, at least. Think-tank? They think, do they?
